The beauty of death
Project inspired by stories described in series of crime books by Mons Kallentoft and Camilla Lackberg
The stories described scenes of murder from the point of view of the dead body or an investigator who was leading the case. The in fine detail descriptions were expressing the purity and beauty of the person , the body and the location in which the corpses have been found.
In reflection to the books I decided to use my own body and recreate the actual scenes described in the books, by taking experimental pictures.

Does it really show the beauty in death?

Each photograph was arranged in a specific way and later edited to achieve a surreal but beautiful effect. The edited picture was meant to give a similar feeling to the description of the crime scene images from each of the books.
